In addition to a visit to the château's exhibitions, the children's group works with a mediator in a workshop on weaving and roping with plants.
Discover the fascinating world of plant weaving and cording! Learn how to make your own prehistoric equipment using abundant, sustainable and biodegradable plant resources harvested in the surrounding mountains. Use rope techniques to make your own Cro-Magnon bracelet.

The workshop is divided into several modules, each of which requires the children to take part in a hands-on activity:
- Recognizing different plant fibers
- cotton's journey from plant to garment
- Carding plant fibers
- Observe some of the material made from the plant fibers of Ötzi, a Neolithic man found in a glacier in the Alps.
- Making rope on a loom

Learning objectives:
- Discover the plant materials used since prehistoric times to make materials.
- Experiment with the transition from plant to fiber.
- Learn how to make ropes and braids.
- Understand, through fiber plants, the consequences of the transition from a self-sufficient society to a globalized one.
- Understand that our actions and consumption have an impact on the environment and our society.
