In addition to a visit to the château's exhibitions, the children's group takes part in a workshop with a mediator to create scented infusions.
By observing and studying a few plants, students discover their hidden and sometimes surprising properties. They then blend the ingredients to create a natural "flavored potion".
The workshop takes place in 4 stages:
- The group discovers plants through observation, smell, touch...
- Children learn the virtues of a few plants with useful properties (digestive, soothing, anti-infectious...).
- Through the discovery of traditional equipment and illustrations, participants are introduced to the stages from picking to drying.
- Making a mixture for an infusion
Pedagogical objectives :
- Discover plants through the senses.
- Encourage methodical observation and comparison...
- Introduce a few notions of botany.
- Create a blend of plants for infusions.
